Brief Description  The She-Creature (1956) is a classic American International Pictures (AIP) low-budget sci-fi horror film directed by Edward L. Cahn. It capitalizes on the 1950s cultural craze for past-life regression by pairing a sinister carnival hypnotist with a rubber-suited prehistoric sea monster.

Plot:
The narrative follows Dr. Carlo Lombardi (Chester Morris), an oily and manipulative carnival sideshow hypnotist. Lombardi conducts experiments in advanced hypnotic regression on his beautiful, unwitting assistant, Andrea Talbott (Marla English). During these sessions, Lombardi manages to regress Andrea's consciousness beyond her human ancestral lineage, tapping into a prehistoric past life when she was a humanoid, reptilian sea monster. Lombardi discovers that he can physically manifest this ancient spirit out of the ocean into the material world while Andrea is under his trance.

Driven by greed and a desire for notoriety, an entrepreneurial businessman named Timothy Chappell (Tom Conway) steps in to commercially exploit Lombardi’s spectacular psychic demonstrations. Meanwhile, Lombardi secretly uses the lumbering, murderous She-Creature as an instrument of vengeance, sending it to slaughter his professional detractors and critics. The situation complicates when a skeptical psychic researcher, Ted Erickson (Lance Fuller), tries to expose Lombardi while falling in love with Andrea. Ultimately, Andrea finds the mental fortitude to break Lombardi's hypnotic thrall, turning the physical manifestation of the monster against her tormentor.
