Brief Description  Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943) is an iconic American horror film directed by Roy William Neill and written by Curt Siodmak. Produced by Universal Pictures, it is highly significant as cinema's very first "monster mash-up" film, paving the way for modern cinematic universes by crossing over characters from distinct franchises. The film acts as a direct sequel to both The Wolf Man (1941) and The Ghost of Frankenstein (1942).

Plot:
The Resurrection: Two grave robbers break into the Talbot family crypt in Llanwelly, Wales, to plunder the grave of Lawrence "Larry" Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.). When they remove the wolfsbane from his body under the light of a full moon, the cursed Talbot wakes up from the dead, killing one of the robbers before collapsing in Cardiff.

The Search for a Cure: Waking up in a hospital under the care of Dr. Frank Mannering (Patric Knowles), Talbot realizes his curse is still active. Desperate to find a permanent death to end his suffering, he escapes and tracks down the old Romani gypsy woman, Maleva (Maria Ouspenskaya). She guides him to Europe to seek out the brilliant scientist Dr. Frankenstein, hoping his notes hold the secret to life and death.

Finding the Monster: Talbot and Maleva arrive at the fictional village of Vasaria, only to discover Dr. Frankenstein is dead and his estate is in ruins. During a transformation into the Wolf Man, Talbot falls through the floorboards of the ruined laboratory and finds Frankenstein's Monster (Bela Lugosi) trapped in a block of ice. Talbot frees the Monster, hoping they can locate Frankenstein's secret journals together.

The Mad Experiment: Talbot attempts to obtain the records by contacting Frankenstein's daughter, Baroness Elsa (Ilona Massey). Dr. Mannering tracks Larry down to Vasaria and pairs up with Elsa to help him. However, instead of using the laboratory equipment to drain Talbot's life energy and kill the Monster, Dr. Mannering's scientific curiosity takes over. He decides to fully restore the Monster to his maximum electrical power.

The Climactic Clash: As the experiment reaches its peak, a full moon breaks through the clouds, causing Talbot to transform into the Wolf Man. He breaks his restraints and attacks the newly revitalized Monster. While the two beasts violently battle in the laboratory, a disgruntled local tavern owner uses dynamite to blow up the village dam. The resulting floodwaters burst through the castle, burying both monsters under the debris and sweeping them away.
